Cologne

At present I’m based in Cologne in the north west of Germany. For anyone with limited geography knowledge like myself, google maps is quite good for finding destinations which is at www.googlemaps.com (address will redirect you - I just use the bottom right corner and the zoom). The weather was glorious today - like a Brissie summer’s day.

I’m trying to learn some of the lingo with varied success. Today I had a few big adventures (using the term loosely), I purchased a German sim card with my remarkable German and I visited the laundromat - thankfully there were some English speaking citizens present to help (hilfe) me.

With my managers busy at various meets, we have a German university student, who is studying Sports Administration, assisting us with things like access to training facilities etc. He speaks English so I’ve been trying to learn ein bichen mehr Deutsch (not sure about my spelling though). I’m enjoying the associated challenges when they aren’t too frustrating. My next entry will be 100% German.
