Catch me in the Media

I’ve had a hectic few weeks. On top my usual training and a new secondment at work (I’m acting in a Senior Project Officer role until June), hubby Jason had an unexpected hospital admission, I popped down to Canberra to jump and had a second trip, to Melbourne, to attend an Athletics Australia Board of Directors meeting two days later.

I’ve also had a few media opportunities. Sally McLellan and I feature on Toasted TV (Channel 10 morning cartoon show) - to air on Saturday 24th Feb (morning of State Titles). We both had a fab time and finished the filming with a heart pumping (and nausea-inducing) ride on the Superman MRT ride at Warner Bros Movie World. Below are a couple of pictures with Pip and Dan the hosts.
Last week I made an appearance at the Thompson Estate and Balmoral Little Athletics Pentathlon day, meeting a few up and coming stars and delivering some (hopefully inspiring) words.

Over the past few weeks, Q Weekend (glossy magazine in the Courier Mail Saturday edition) have also been collecting great interviews and hundreds of photos at my training and in their studio. The photo shoot in their studio earlier this week was loads of fun and everyone was so lovely!! The cover story is scheduled for Saturday 3rd of March (the day after the Melbourne World Athletics Tour meet).

I have also been acting as the Director of Physiotherapy this week, stretching my work hours to full-time. I usually don’t work Mondays but I haven’t had a clear Monday in a while and this coming Monday is just the same - I’m keeping up my knowledge and skills as a physiotherapist and attending a gait analysis course.

There are only two weeks until State Titles and I’m looking forward to competing on the State Athletics Facility track (my training track). I hope to see you all there.

Keep busy, train hard and enjoy life!
